Paulsboro has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. Having just played yesterday, they will head out on the road to face off against the Oakcrest Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on January 19th. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around on Friday.
Paulsboro suffered their biggest loss since December 21, 2023 on Thursday. Their rough 64-39 defeat to Sterling might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Paulsboro in their matchups with Sterling: they've now lost eight in a row.
Meanwhile, Oakcrest's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Thursday after their eighth straight loss. They suffered a tough 50-24 defeat at the hands of Atlantic Christian. While losing is never fun, Oakcrest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 385th, while Atlantic Christian is ranked 139th).
Paulsboro's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Oakcrest, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-8.
