Several Scorpions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Forrest Dudley, who went 7 for 16 en route to 21 points. Dudley has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Camari Hale, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 16 points.
Florida State University High School had a senior duo take command as Trey Card went 8 for 11 en route to 24 points and five boards and Amare Robinson went 5 of 7 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds. Card is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Godwin, who posted seven points.
Crossroad Academy's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-6. As for Florida State University High School, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.
