The Raleigh Charter Phoenix lost against the St. David's Warriors back in December of 2014, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Raleigh Charter had to suffer through a rough 66-34 loss at the hands of St. David's. Raleigh Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-6.
Eliza Everett was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 steals for St. David's. Everett hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Kate Benson, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals.
Raleigh Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. David's, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Raleigh Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cary Academy at 12:30 p.m. on December 27th. As for St. David's, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cary Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cary Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while St. David's is ranked 183rd).
