Make it nine blowout wins for the Louisville Leopards this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Marlington 83-39 on the road. While fans of Louisville might be used to big wins, the 44-point margin marked the team's biggest victory yet this season.
Louisville was led to victory by Hayden Nigro and Beau Siegfried. Nigro scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and six assists, while Siegfried went 8 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 5 assists. Nigro has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Brayden Gross, who scored ten points.
Louisville's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Marlington, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Louisville will take on the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McKinley is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. As for Marlington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Quakers at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Salem is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
