There's no place like home for the Jubilee Brownsville Titans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 46-34 win over Hidalgo on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Jubilee Brownsville also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Jubilee Brownsville found their leader in underclassman Nick Zarate, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Zarate has scored at least 25% of Jubilee Brownsville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucca Ramirez, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Jubilee Brownsville now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Hidalgo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.
Jubilee Brownsville will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Zapata at 8:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Hidalgo will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on La Feria at 8:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
