The Natoma Tigers lost against the Thunder Ridge Longhorns back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Natoma was dealt a 49-13 loss at the hands of Thunder Ridge. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Natoma has scored all season.
Natoma's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lillian Carter, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds, and Caylie Lyle who scored five points along with three steals. Carter is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Natoma struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Natoma's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Thunder Ridge, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Natoma's road trip will continue as they head out to face Logan/Palco at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Logan/Palco focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Tuesday. As for Thunder Ridge, they will play host again and welcome Northern Valley, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northern Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 281st, while Thunder Ridge is ranked 94th).
