The Simla Cubs came out on top against the Hoehne Farmers by a score of  49-40  on Monday for which the team can thank  Maranville, who  to rack up 15  points and seven  rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's  played.
 Despite the  loss, Hoehne saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Braylee Foster  posted 12 points.  Ellegra Gutierrez was another key player,  putting up nine  points.
Simla has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record  this season. Hoehne's defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 18-3.
 Coming up, Simla will look to defend their home court  on Friday against Calhan  at 5:00  p.m. Calhan will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  victory, something Simla surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hoehne, they will take on Fowler in a tournament  on Friday. Hoehne is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6  points per game  this season.
