Even though the Cibola Cougars scored an imposing 63 points on Thursday, the Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars still came out on top. Atrisco Heritage Academy took their match against Cibola 70-63. Given Atrisco Heritage Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Cibola is ranked 48th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Atrisco Heritage Academy was led to victory by Latavious Morris and Marquise Renfro. Morris scored 20 points, while Renfro dropped a double-double on 33 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Renfro has scored all season. Kadarius Sims was another key contributor, scoring six points.

Atrisco Heritage Academy will take on Rio Rancho at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Rio Rancho focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Tuesday. As for Cibola, they will head out on the road to face off against Volcano Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Volcano Vista's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
