They snuck past West Ashley with a 42-37 win. Given Ashley Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while West Ashley is ranked 108th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ashley Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nadia President, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Dianna Blake, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Ashley Ridge's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for West Ashley, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 7-11.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Stall the next time they take the court. Ashley Ridge will head out to face Stall at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while West Ashley will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
