East Valley scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to the Colville Crimson Hawks. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crimson Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Colville found their leader in sophomore Parker Darnold, who posted 17 points in addition to five assists and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for Darnold. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Matkin, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

East Valley dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Colville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Valley will head out to square off against Deer Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Valley is facing Deer Park at the right time seeing as Deer Park is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Colville, they will venture away from home to take on Okanogan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Colville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
