Frazier has gone a perfect 3-0 against Southmoreland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Frazier Commodores will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Southmoreland Scotties at 4:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.
Frazier is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Washington. Everything went Frazier's way against Washington on Monday as Frazier made off with a 20-7 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Commodores as it put an end to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Aidan Hardy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chase Fulmer, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Tyler Morrison was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run.
Frazier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Washington only posted an OBP of .370.
Meanwhile, Southmoreland took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Monessen with a sharp 13-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Scotties in their matchups with the Greyhounds: they've now won four in a row.
Like Frazier, Southmoreland also got a great game from a two-way player: Joey Bentz. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over 4.2 innings pitched. Bentz was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.
In other batting news, Southmoreland let Jake Govern and Bredon Geho run wild. Govern scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Geho scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Blake McLaughlin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Frazier was able to grind out a solid win over Southmoreland in their previous matchup back in March of 2021, winning 5-2. Does Frazier have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southmoreland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
