Sanger has gone a perfect 4-0 against Lemoore recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Apaches will challenge the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Sanger's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Lemoore's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Sanger managed to slip by Clovis West the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Apaches lost 8-0 to the Golden Eagles on Tuesday.
Sanger saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Guerra, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Meanwhile, Lemoore waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 12-11 W against the Greyhounds. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since February 24th.
Sikaya Cancio was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned (and nine unearned) runs off ten hits. Cancio was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run.
In other batting news, Jazlyn Guzman was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 3-for-3. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaylee Vazquez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Lemoore hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
Sanger's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Lemoore, their record is now 12-4-1.
Sanger got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 against Lemoore by a conclusive 14-4 score. Do the Apaches have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
