West De Pere had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 53-22 win over the Hortonville Polar Bears. The Phantoms pushed the score to 53-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Polar Bears cut but never quite recovered from.

Perhaps the best among them was Patrick Greisen, who threw for 405 yards and six TDs while completing 86.2% of his passes.
