Basketball Recap: Frontier Falls Despite Big Games from Ashlyn Minniear and Kendall Bridwell

Frontier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 55-46 to the Culver Community Cavaliers. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Frontier's loss came despite strong showings from Kendall Bridwell and Ashlyn Minniear. Bridwell went 7 for 12 on her way to 21 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals, while Minniear went 6 of 12 en route to 13 points and six boards. Those 21 points gave Bridwell a new career-high.

Frontier's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Culver Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Frontier wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 52-37 defeat against DeMotte Christian on the 18th. As for Culver Community, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-38 victory against Triton on the 17th.
