Jayden Eckert put forth a good effort for the losing side as he shot 4-for-8 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Wes Owens was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Faith Academy had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They snuck past Live Oak Classical with a 61-56 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Round Rock Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. As for Faith Academy, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7.
