The La Pryor Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sabinal Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
La Pryor won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Stacey, falling 68-29. La Pryor was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-10.
Meanwhile, Sabinal didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Stockdale on Friday, but they still walked away with a 52-48 win.
Sabinal got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Joseph Contreras out in front who almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 11 rebounds, and nine blocks. Contreras has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 11 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Andres Reyes, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
La Pryor dropped their record down to 1-20 with that defeat, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Sabinal, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-13 record this season.
La Pryor took a serious blow against Sabinal when the teams last played back in January, falling 89-30. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point La Pryor was down 64-21.
