The Weston Trojans''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. Their rough 33-7 loss to New Fairfield might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Weston in their matchups with New Fairfield: they've now lost five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Fairfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyle Martin, who picked up 90 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Michael Traynor, who threw for 205 yards and a touchdown.
Weston's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for New Fairfield, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.
