Softball Recap: Ogden Sets Scoring Season-High Against Delta

Ogden was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Delta on Saturday. Everything went the Ogden Tigers' way against the Delta Rabbits as the Ogden Tigers made off with a 16-8 victory. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Aracely DeLeon was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Baelee Ulm, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Ogden was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in four consecutive games.

Ogden's record is now 3-4. As for Delta, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ogden will take on West Side at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Delta, they will head out on the road to face off against North Sanpete at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Delta has given up an average of 14.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
