Baker hasn't had much luck against Northview recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Baker Gators will be playing at home against the Northview Chiefs at 6:30 p.m. Baker is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.9 runs per game this season.

Last Monday, everything went Baker's way against Notre Dame as Baker made off with an 18-8 win. Considering the Gators have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Austin Stanley was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-5. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kase Armstrong, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.

Baker always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .565. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, Northview came up short against T.R. Miller on Friday and fell 5-1.

Northview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Davis, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Northview's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Baker, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Northview's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Baker hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .364. It's a different story for Northview, though, as they've only averaged .258. Will they be able to contain Baker's hitters?
