The Crosby Bulldogs won against the Holy Cross Crusaders last Friday with 68 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Crosby snuck past Holy Cross with a 68-64 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Daniel Melendez was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 25 points along with four steals. Curtis Ellis was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Crosby and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Holy Cross, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-1.
Crosby will head out on the road to face off against Derby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Holy Cross will be home for the holidays to greet Watertown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
