Baseball Game Preview: Yucaipa Thunderbirds vs. Beaumont Cougars

For the second straight game, Yucaipa will face off against Beaumont. The Thunderbirds will welcome the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Yucaipa's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Beaumont's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Yucaipa turned things around against Beaumont on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 5-2.

Logan Pashman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Yucaipa saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landyn Von Kaenel, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Yucaipa hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive matchups.

Beaumont is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13. As for Yucaipa, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.
