The Jefferson Bulldogs will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Daingerfield Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson will be strutting in after a win while Daingerfield will be coming in after a defeat.
Jefferson has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 23 points or more this season. They blew past Elysian Fields 64-37 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-12.
Meanwhile, Daingerfield managed to keep up with Rivercrest until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Daingerfield ended up on the wrong side of a rough 50-24 walloping at the hands of Rivercrest. Daingerfield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The win makes it two in a row for Jefferson and bumps their season record up to 16-6. As for Daingerfield, they bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Jefferson against Daingerfield in their previous meeting back in November as the squad secured a 68-30 win. Will Jefferson repeat their success, or does Daingerfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
