Georgetown was the 2-0 winner over St. Michael when they last played one another back in August of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Friday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Georgetown was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made St. Michael's work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-21.

Amelia Albright paced Georgetown's offense, picking up seven kills. Albright really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 18. Amry Anderson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Georgetown's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for St. Michael's, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.

Georgetown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Little River Academy on the 15th. As for St. Michael's, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Rock Hill on the 15th.
