It was a good run, but Georgetown unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the St. Michael's Warriors. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

While Georgetown ultimately came up short, they really made St. Michael's work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-21.

Amelia Albright paced Georgetown's offense, picking up seven kills. Albright really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 18. Amry Anderson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Georgetown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for St. Michael's, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Georgetown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Little River Academy on the 15th. As for St. Michael's, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Rock Hill on the 15th.
