Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joseph Wolfe, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamika Wesley, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Mountain View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Coleman Pearson led the charge by scoring 17 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pearson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Hunter Kaopua, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Payson has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Mountain View, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
