In what's become a running theme this season, the Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 53-21 win over Caldwell on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-12.
Leading Cedar Vale/Dexter to victory were Eislee Boatman and Zoe Davidson. Boatman scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Davidson dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Boatman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Edee Boatman, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Caldwell struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They are winless (0-4) when they just don't pass the ball.
Cedar Vale/Dexter pushed their record up to 7-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Caldwell, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Vale/Dexter on the road again on Friday and play against Oxford at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Caldwell, they will take on Central at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Central is ranked 335th, while Caldwell is ranked 356th).
