Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Palo Verde's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Centennial, Palo Verde was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Faith Lutheran Crusaders by a score of 11-6. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered an 8-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Dane Keener was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Ethan Clauss was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Palo Verde is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Faith Lutheran, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-9.

Palo Verde will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Crusaders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
