Despite the defeat, Goose Creek Memorial saw an underclassman step up: freshman Carinne Bouie went 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points in addition to eight boards and four blocks. Those four blocks gave Bouie a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madyson Dumphy, who posted 11 points and three steals.
The win (which was North Shore's third in a row) raised their record to 16-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game.
