The Specially Fit Academy Rams lost against the Miami Country Day Spartans back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Specially Fit Academy fell 61-48 to Miami Country Day. While losing is never fun, Specially Fit Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while Miami Country Day is ranked 109th).
Herbert Wilson was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 17 rebounds for Miami Country Day. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Miguel Orbe, who scored 18 points.
Specially Fit Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-15 record this season. As for Miami Country Day, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10.
Specially Fit Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on January 28th. Miami Country Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
