After four games on the road, Austintown-Fitch is heading back home. They will take on the Ursuline Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Austintown-Fitch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Fighting Irish are ranked 27th).
Last Tuesday, Austintown-Fitch came up short against the Tigers and fell 49-40.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Allen Hill jr, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcel Finkley, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Ursuline waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins but they left with six. Everything went their way against Chaney as Ursuline made off with a 82-62 victory. Ursuline has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.
Austintown-Fitch's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Ursuline, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.
