 Colton Williams tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. He also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because Millard West is 3-1 when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Sam Kidd, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in April of 2024.  Chance Roberts also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
Millard West's victory  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 9-8. As for Bellevue West,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 12-5 record.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Millard West is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Kearney  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Bellevue West will  square off against  rival Lincoln Southwest  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
