If the Attica Blue Devils were riding high off their 55-17 takedown of the Warsaw Tigers back in January, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Attica took a 41-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pembroke. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Attica in their matchups with Pembroke: they've now lost three in a row.
Pembroke was led to victory by Peyton Liss and Elle Peterson. Liss scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Peterson almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Seneca Calderon, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Attica's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Pembroke, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-7.
Attica will challenge Kendall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Attica will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 494th, while Kendall is ranked 141st). As for Pembroke, they will be playing at home against Holley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Pembroke focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Wednesday.
