Evergreen Valley has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Independence 76ers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Evergreen Valley pushed their score all the way to 65 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Leigh 69-65. Evergreen Valley has not had much luck with Leigh recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Independence's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 15th straight defeat. They were beaten by Christopher 58-28. While losing is never fun, Independence can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 922nd, while Christopher is ranked 278th).
Evergreen Valley's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-20.
Evergreen Valley strolled past Independence in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 57-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Evergreen Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
