Patterson is a perfect 5-0 against Mountain House since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Patterson Tigers will take on the Mountain House Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Patterson will be strutting in after a win while Mountain House will be coming in after a loss.
Patterson will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Manteca on Thursday. Patterson came out on top against Manteca by a score of 12-9. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Tigers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

The team relied heavily on Elizabeth Zavala, who scored three runs while going 4-for-5. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Grace Cruthis, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
Patterson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Mountain House fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Central Catholic on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 5-4. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Luna Lopez spent all 8.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Mountain House saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MacKenzie Coffman, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Samantha Ruiz also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Patterson's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Mountain House, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 11-2.
Both Patterson and Mountain House just can't seem to miss. Patterson has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Mountain House struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Patterson's way against Mountain House in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, as Patterson made off with a 13-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Patterson since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
