On Friday, The East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] faced the South Holt Knights in a battle between two of the state's top teams. East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] was beaten by South Holt 53-20. East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax]'s loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
South Holt can attribute much of their success to Cole Medsker, who rushed for 165 yards, and also threw for 162 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes. South Holt also got a significant boost from Kendall Noland, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.
East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] now has a losing record at 4-5. As for South Holt, their victory was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0.
East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] will take on North Andrew at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (North Andrew is ranked 31st, while East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] is ranked 16th). South Holt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
