Centennial is a perfect 7-0 against East since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Stars will square off against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Centennial has five straight wins, East has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Wednesday, Centennial got the win against Mifflin by a conclusive 23-2. The result was nothing new for the Stars, who have now won four matchups by 20 runs or more so far this season.

Centennial got a massive performance out of Aza Corbett, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Corbett also launched a home run, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ellie Glover, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.

Centennial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .867. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when East duked it out with Columbus International on Wednesday. The Tigers came up short against the Lions, falling 25-10.

Centennial pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for East, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Centennial took their victory against East in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 20-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
