Glynn Academy has gone 9-1 against South Effingham recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Glynn Academy Terrors will head out on the road to face off against the South Effingham Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. Glynn Academy is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Glynn Academy is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Brunswick on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Glynn Academy had to suffer through a 74-35 loss at the hands of Brunswick. The Terrors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-17.

Meanwhile, South Effingham suffered their biggest defeat since February 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Statesboro and fell 86-49. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 419th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 66th).

Glynn Academy will have to keep a close watch on Hayden Lloyd and Landyn White, a pair of players who had a big impact on South Effingham's prior game. Lloyd posted four points, while White put up five points. Another player making a difference was Lawton Bowen, who had four points.

Even though they lost, South Effingham smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in ten consecutive games.

Glynn Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for South Effingham, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
