Even though the Harker Eagles scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, the Priory Panthers still came out on top. Priory took their matchup against Harker 63-56. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Priory also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Balasz Nyikos, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Teddy Xanthopoulos, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Priory's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Harker, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Priory will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Sacred Heart Prep at 6:30 p.m. Sacred Heart Prep has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 479 points over their last seven games. As for Harker, they will head out on the road to challenge Crystal Springs Uplands at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crystal Springs Uplands is facing Harker at the right time seeing as Harker is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
