Croatan's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They had just enough and edged Swansboro out 10-7.
Croatan relied on the efforts of Josh Steffy, who rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown, and Coleman Davis, who rushed for 110 yards on only 11 carries.
Meanwhile, Dixon had to suffer through a rough 50-14 loss at the hands of White Oak.
Dixon's loss came about despite a quality game from Jziah Hinton, who rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns.
With Croatan's win and Dixon's loss, both teams now sport identical 4-4 records.
