Heartland Lutheran was led to victory by Abigail Uden and Ella Francl. Uden went 8 of 17 en route to 17 points along with eight boards and seven steals, while Francl went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc on her way to 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. The dominant performance gave Francl a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Ema Marie Koch, who posted 15 points and three steals.
They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Heartland Lutheran was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Despite the defeat, Elba saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addison Wysocki went 7 for 15 on her way to 20 points. Jazlyn Encinger also deserves some recognition as she pulled down her first rebound of the season.
