Carter Jaeger Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Sterling's Carter Jaeger, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Jaeger's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 140 rushing yards. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 62 yards.
The victory (which was Sterling's fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Jaeger and Sterling will be playing at home against Fort Lupton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rossi Came Up Big in Weld Central's 42-24 Loss
Marcello Rossi's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his fourth-straight game with 126+ rushing yards. He rushed for 216 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.
If history really does repeat itself, Rossi might just drop another big game when he faces off against Brush on Thursday. When Rossi last faced the Beetdiggers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 180 yards, and also picked up 42 receiving yards.

Sadly, Josiah Gonzales posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Fort Lupton over Brush on Saturday. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble, made seven total tackles (1.0 for loss), and defended a pass.
Fort Lupton is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. Gonzales and Fort Lupton will head out to challenge Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
