In what's become a running theme this season, Wylie East gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Lakeview Centennial 9-0. Give Wylie East's defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.
Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Rowlett were a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell just short of Lakeview Centennial by a score of 1-0.
Wylie East's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those five games. As for Rowlett, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Wylie East took their win against Rowlett in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 3-0. Does Wylie East have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rowlett turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
