Calallen is a perfect 8-0 against King since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Calallen Wildcats will be playing at home against the King Brahmas at 12:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
King will be up against a hot Calallen squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Calallen never let Ingleside get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Wednesday. Calallen's win was all the more impressive since the Mustangs were averaging only 3.57 runs allowed on the season.
Jordyn Thibodeaux made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, Calallen got a massive performance out of Braelyn Bailey, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance gave Bailey a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Brookelynn Meador, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.
Calallen lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ingleside didn't launched any home runs.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask King). They were the clear victor by an 18-0 margin over West Oso on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Brahmas in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won three in a row.
Addison Beltran was a standout: she scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Meagan Barcena was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Calallen's win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for King, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
Both Calallen and King just can't seem to miss. Calallen has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. However, it's not like King struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Calallen's way against King when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Calallen made off with a 12-1 win. Does Calallen have another victory up their sleeve, or will King turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
