The Mineral Ridge Rams lost against the Waterloo Vikings back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Mineral Ridge fell 54-43 to Waterloo. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mineral Ridge has scored all season.
Mineral Ridge's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonathan Rozzi, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Chase Moore, who scored ten points.
Mineral Ridge bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Waterloo, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Mineral Ridge won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lordstown at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. Lordstown is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Waterloo will finish 2023 at home by hosting Leetonia at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th.
