The Central Cobras will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Treasure Coast Titans at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 20 to ten on the offensive boards, a fact Central proved on Monday. They walked away with a 40-30 win over Jensen Beach. Given Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Falcons are ranked 200th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Central found their leader in underclassman LOVELY GABRIEL, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. GABRIEL is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted three or more in the last 11 games she's played. HARMON RANDOLPH was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Treasure Coast entered their tilt with the Eagles with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Treasure Coast came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 45-36 on Friday.
The win makes it two in a row for Central and bumps their season record up to 17-8. As for Treasure Coast, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-12.
Central came out on top in a nail-biter against the Titans in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, sneaking past 34-31. Will Central repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
