Softball Recap: Spring Grove Has No Trouble Against York Suburban

While Spring Grove put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for York Suburban. The Rockets put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 12-0 victory. Considering the Rockets have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Jozalynn Hartman was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. London Parks was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Spring Grove always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win made it two in a row for Spring Grove and bumps their season record up to 4-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for York Suburban, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spring Grove will face off against Kennard-Dale at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Rockets surely won't give up without a fight. As for York Suburban, they will challenge Fairfield at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
