LaVille is 7-1 against Argos since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Lancers will head out to face off against the Dragons at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (LaVille has three straight victories, Argos has 25 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
LaVille is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Tippecanoe Valley with a sharp 17-3 win on Friday. Considering the Lancers have won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Brayden Schwitz was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of LaVille's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Karson Quinn was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Andrew Wolford was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
LaVille always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.
Argos couldn't beat North Miami on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Dragons lost 18-5 to the Warriors.
Argos saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Beatty, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. David Adey also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Argos' loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for LaVille, their record is now 5-3.
Argos' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: LaVille has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. It's a different story for Argos, though, as they've only averaged .298. Will they be able to contain LaVille's hitters?
LaVille took their victory against Argos when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 16-0 score. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
