On Friday, Sedan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-43 to the Eagles.
Meanwhile, Cedar Vale/Dexter's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They fell 35-23 to Flinthills.
Despite the loss, Cedar Vale/Dexter saw an underclassman step up: Gracie Webb scored eight points.
Sedan has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Cedar Vale/Dexter, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-7.
Sedan and the Spartans were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January, but the Devils came up empty-handed after a 53-52 defeat. Can Sedan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
