The Clark Chargers will face off against the Silverado Skyhawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Clark took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They never let Bonanza get on the board and left with a 14-0 win.

Clark found their leader in sophomore Felix Romero, who rushed for 201 yards while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 45 receiving yards and one score. The Chargers are 5-1 when Romero posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
Clark didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Andres Pollard.
Meanwhile, Silverado came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.4 points), and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to the Desert Shields for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-6 victory. With the Skyhawks ahead 30-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Clark better keep an eye on Dillon Elliott. He was instrumental in Silverado's win, rushing for 15 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also throwing for 105 yards and one TD. Another player making a difference was Clemente Jones, who rushed for 35 yards.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Silverado proved: they limited Cheyenne to a paltry 3.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Brandon Belyeu for the heroic effort on defense: he. Silverado didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.9.
Clark's record now sits at 6-3. As for Silverado, their record is now 8-1.
Thursday's contest might be decided on the ground. Clark has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 201.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Silverado struggles in that department as they've been averaging 187.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Clark was dealt a bruising 51-20 defeat at the hands of Silverado in their previous matchup back in October of 2019. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Chargers were down 34-13.
