North Sevier is 7-0 against Grand County since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The North Sevier Wolves will look to defend their home court against the Grand County Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Thursday, North Sevier lost to Duchesne on the road by a decisive 62-44 margin. North Sevier has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Grand County suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 65-32 loss at the hands of North Summit. While losing is never fun, Grand County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while North Summit is ranked 16th).
Trinity Bryant put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 13 points along with four steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games.
North Sevier's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-10. As for Grand County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
North Sevier was able to grind out a solid victory over Grand County in their previous meeting on January 6th, winning 45-38. Will North Sevier repeat their success, or does Grand County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
